Your domain

The domain name of the site which you are managing with Email Autoresponder. It is very important that this is correct as your Email Autoresponder system will not work correctly if it is wrong.

Many of the success and failure confirmation screens that your subscriber will see have this address shown on them. The subscriber is invited to send e-mail to this address if they have a problem subscribing to or unsubscribing from your autoresponders.

Show extra subscriber info?

The subscriber list screen shows basic information for each subscriber, such as e-mail address. If you want to display much more information about each subscriber, check this box. Information like first, middle and last names, full name, message format preference etc will also be shown in a yellow tinted box under each subscriber in the list.

E-mail failures

Email Autoresponder intercepts and tracks messages that bounce back from your subscribers. It is important to realize that a message may bounce back for a reason that's only temporary, such as a server failure. This setting control how many times Email Autoresponder will try to send a message to a subscriber before they are flagged as 'failed' and no further attempts are made. The default setting is 3. Note that this process works only if you have e-mail capturing working as described in the installation instructions.

Number of subscribers per page

This sets the number of subscribers that are shown on each subscriber listing page. In most cases, you don't need to see many subscribers. You can speed up the display of the subscriber list by setting this number quite low (eg 5). The default is 50.

The font used when displaying plain text previews of your follow-up and broadcast messages.

Force default personalization?

Many of the tags, like {FIRSTNAME}, that you can insert into messages have a default part. The default part if used when the required information is not available. A valid example would be:

{FIRSTNAME Internet Marketer}

If you want Email Autoresponder to always use the default part, instead of reading the actual information form the subscriber database, check this box.

Subscription notification default

In the properties of each autoresponder, you can choose whether to be e-mailed notification each time someone subscribes to the autoresponder. Check this box to set the defaults for new autoresponders.

In the properties of each autoresponder, you can choose whether to be e-mailed notification each time someone unsubscribes from the autoresponder. Check this box to set the defaults for new autoresponders.

Send daily subscription report?

Email Autoresponder has a system that allows you, the system administrator, to send “remote control” e-mails to your Email Autoresponder system that will add or remove subscriptions. This system was designed to allow Email Autoresponder to interact with other software you may have written, such as an order processing system. Check this box to be notified each time your Email Autoresponder system receives a “remote control” request.

The text that appears above your unsubscribe link. Include it in messages with {UNSUBSCRIBE_LINK_TEXT} or by checking the “include unsubscribe link” in the page layout screen of your autoresponders or when defining a broadcast message.

Edit Link Text

Email Autoresponder has a system that allows your subscribers to change their own subscription settings. You would use the {EDIT_LINK} tag for the actual clickable link. The text that displays with that link is inserted with the {EDIT_LINK_TEXT} tag and entered here.

Send e-mail confirmation on unsubscribe?

Check this option and enter the text of the message, if you want to confirm by e-mail that your subscriber has successfully unsubscribed and will receive no more e-mail from your autoresponder.
